5 Ways to Incorporate Fresh Flowers into Your Next Event

Two things are certain here at Take a Seat Events: we love fresh flowers and, of course, can’t resist an outdoor party. Well, summer is here and we figured there’s no better way to celebrate than by sharing some of our favorite ways to incorporate those beautiful blooms into your next event.

  1. Popsicles

These treats are the perfect way to cool off and are always a hit with kids (and adults!), but they can also look beautiful by adding edible flowers. We couldn’t resist these gorgeous treats by Chew Town, which are made with only three ingredients!

  1. Ice cubes

While we’re on the topic of freezing flowers, adding pedals to your ice cubes is an easy way to create some unexpected color and beauty. You can use the cubes in drinks, or add them to your cooler to keep unopened bottles chilled. Keep in mind, if adding the cubes to open drinks, be sure to use only edible flowers such as lavender, pansies or roses. If you plan to use your cubes to chill unopened bottles, feel free to grab anything from your backyard!

  1. Appetizers

We love this stunning, summer appetizer by The View From the Great Island. The pansies are a garnish that your guests are sure to appreciate. And, who doesn’t love a little salmon, lemon and dill?

  1. Drinks

This irresistible peach lemonade recipe calls for a quarter cup of rosemary blossoms. The purple flowers are beautiful against the orange-colored lemonade. This is another perfect solution to keep your guests cool (and their taste buds happy!). Check out Adventures in Cooking for this super simple recipe.

  1. Centerpieces

In the end, our favorite way to utilize flowers is in vases. Adding fresh blooms to your tables is always simple and beautiful. We recommend picking something from your backyard. If you don’t have that option, your local farmer’s market or grocery store is sure to have something you’ll love.

Now, on to those summer soiree's! Happy flower picking and party planning, everyone!
