TAS Weekend Round-up: Meg & Karl's Wedding
Happy June, everyone! Another busy month for us at Take A Seat Events, but we're more than ready for all the exciting projects this summer! Saturday, Justyna and I were onsite at Sunset Cove Bed & Breakfast in Pinckney, MI for Meg and Karl's big day! Once again we had a team of fabulous vendors (listed below) that truly went above and beyond to help make this day perfect for the couple and their guests. Colby and Cat, the caretakers at the venue, were so great to work with and helped us out with all the issues that came up during the day. We had a crazy rain storm come through on Saturday morning, literally right after the girls from Parsonage Events finished the floral set up inside the tent and drove away. Justyna and I were in FULL ON trouble shooting mode from that point onward. With the help of Cat and Colby, we were putting up the tent siding, drying out linens, wiping down all the guest chairs and the 95 hurricane candle vases!
People ALWAYS ask us, WHAT do you actually do on the wedding day? After this weekend, we can honestly say... we do pretty much anything it takes to make the day a success for our couples!
Our new intern, Chelsey, showed up just in time to help with all the mid-day clean up and table set up! SO lucky to have her on board for the summer! Look out for more details about Chelsey later this week! (Justyna and I look like a hot mess - we got completely soaked in the monsoon! I swear, we looked cute when we first arrived!)
The ceremony was magical! The weather calmed down just in time for Meg to walk down the aisle to meet Karl under these gorgeous string lights overlooking Strawberry Lake. What a view!
We managed to get the tent back in order and looking fabulous again in time for the guest's arrival. The decor was simple yet SO beautiful. Garland runners draped the long tables and the tall candles created such an intimate and romantic look.
One of the bridesmaid's laser cut these adorable wood table numbers, which added the perfect detail to the tables and complimented the natural wood chairs.
The place cards were a labor of love by the bride herself, who put her calligraphy skills to work to create these adorable settings. Guys, the fresh lavender smelled SO good! It was such a lovely detail!
More photos to come in a later blog post! Hope everyone has a great week! Cheers!
